Spruce Up Your Home on 4th Of July With A DIY Table Runner

Create A Festive Dining Set Up for Independence Day!

There are so many ways to jazz up your home during the holidays. And this coming Independence Day, we know that you’re looking for great ideas. So we thought of finding an easy tutorial that you might want to include in your DIY projects. If you’re a fan of simple, budget friendly, and fun DIYs, then you’ll probably find this DIY bandana table runner perfect to make! Keep scrolling!

 

You’ll Need:

 

Materials:

  • thread
  • bandanas (white, red and blue)
  • spray starch

Tools:

  • sewing machine
  • iron
  • scissors

 

Instructions:

Spruce Up Your Home on 4th Of July With A DIY Table Runner

1. Alignment Of Red And White Bandanas

Figure out the right side of your red bandana and lay it on top of your working table. Place your white bandana on top of the red one. Both right sides of red and white bandana should be facing each other and check for their proper alignment.

 

2. Sewing Of Red And White Bandanas

Sew the edges of both red and white bandanas together, leaving 1/4 inch as its seam allowance, then cut any excess threads.

3. Sewing Of White And Blue Bandanas

Place your blue bandana on top of the white bandana.  The right sides of both fabrics should be facing each other, then check for its alignment.Sew the edges of both white and blue bandanas together. Leave 1/4 inch seam allowance then cut the excess strands of fabric.

 

4. Iron The Finished Product

Iron the table runner so that the seams will go towards the red and blue fabric, that way they won’t show up underneath the white one.

Tip: Have some spray starch and spray it on your bandana table runner before ironing it to keep its shape a lot better

 

And You’re Done!

 

You can use any fabric you want. Just pick colors red, blue, and white and you’re ready to go!
