Beautiful Thanksgiving Table Runners for Your Next Sewing Project

Thanksgiving Table Runner Ideas

Nothing improves my mood better than sewing and improving our household. There’s just something cathartic and calming in those activities. Not to mention, it adds beauty to our home.

I can’t tell you how many compliments I’ve had ever since I started sewing my own decor. So this Thanksgiving, go the extra mile and make these beautiful table runners that will surely set the mood for a hearty Thanksgiving meal with your close friends and family.

1. Reversible Table Runner

Nowadays, it’s always better to maximize every opportunity and investment. What better way to do that than to have a 2-in-1 reversible table runner? Tired of one design? Just flip it over! Need to use the same runner but can’t get rid of the stain? Just flip it over too!

2. Bandana Table Runner

During my younger days, bandanas were part of my (almost) daily outfit so, needless to say, I have a lot of spare bandanas lying around. If you do too, then here’s a bandana table runner tutorial for you!

However, if you do not have enough bandanas to make this table runner, you may also buy a bandana cloth from Amazon.

3. Zigzag Table Runner

Undoubtedly, this is one of my favorites on this list. This zigzag table runner is pretty and unique! A little funky, this one is. It really is a welcome change from all the straight-laced table runners, right?

I’ve already made one before for special occasions, and it remains my go-to runner when we have guests over.

4. Burlap Thanksgiving Table Runner

From this list, I believe this burlap table runner captures the Thanksgiving theme the most. For me, the leaves symbolize the fall season, while the aesthetic of the burlap fabric shows the beauty of simplicity.

At the end of the day, Thanksgiving gatherings need not be extravagant. At the core of such an occasion, it is always the bond between family and friends that truly matter.

5. Burlap Lace Table Runner

Level up your burlap Thanksgiving table runner with lace, ruffles, burlap, and pom-poms! I haven’t gotten around to making one, but I’m pretty sure I will soon.

It’s the perfect runner for those days when you feel like turning the dining room into a woman’s world!

Another quirky one on our list is this ruler table runner. It’s a great conversation piece for guests, and if you have a younger child currently learning about his or her numbers, this table runner might help them keep their numbers in mind!

7. Topsy-Turvy Table Runner

A topsy-turvy table runner has become a staple in dining rooms everywhere, which is why you should make at least one. Of course, the choice of fabric is up to you.

You can go vibrant with bright-colored fabric or tone it down for a more elegant appeal.

8. Winter Doily Table Runner

Intricate and classy, this winter doily table runner reminded me of the centerpiece at my wedding years ago. It exudes class, formality, and a touch of softness that would definitely boost your Thanksgiving table decor.

You can also make your winter doilies accents of your burlap table runner.

9. Spring Doily Table Runner

Don’t be fooled by the name. This table runner will surely earn its place on your dining table this Thanksgiving for its vibrant and uplifting color! Because even during the fall season, a vibrant table setting instantly lifts everyone’s mood before eating!

10. Pine Tree Table Runner

Pine tree table runner for Thanksgiving? Why not? These patches of blue may not be the ideal color for Thanksgiving. Nevertheless, it’s a good color combination to highlight red, brown, orange, and yellow colors.

11. Heading South Table Topper

I want to finish off this list with something multi-purpose. This heading south table topper tutorial can also make a table runner with some adjustments here and there.

So whichever you decide to do, you’ll only have to use one pattern for it.
