Step 1. Cut a rectangular piece of fabric

Cut a rectangular piece out of your fabric, and fold the edges in.

Step 2. Sew the edges

Fold the rectangular fabric in half and hand sew all edges together to close. The measurement of the bow tie will depend on the size of your dog (If you pleat it together in the middle, you can see your cute bow tie).

Step 3. Cut a long piece of bias binding

Next, get your bias binding. Make sure to get the measurement of your dog’s neck. Cut the bindings reducing from the exact measurement of the neck, so you’ll have space to put on your elastic.

Step 4. Cut a short piece of bias binding

Cut a short piece of binding to put on the middle of the bow tie.

Step 5. Sew the elastic to the bias binding
